Well kinda. I mean her and the gals from the American Windsurfing Tour were the first guest for a week. Sam from Maui, Miho from Japam, Ingred from the Gorge, Kati from Ireland and Sandy from Enemclaw. Who ever follows will have a tough act to fallow with all the aloha that cristened Sam's House.
The Cottage was built in the early 50's by Agatha Webber (Webber Way) and is a basic 2 bedroom, I bath home from the era. Metal kitchen cabnites and a vintage rance manufactured by General Moters. That's funny in my book. We have big plans for a spa tub on a deck off the huge living room when we get a chance. The house closed Thursday before the Gold Beach SUP Challange and AWT Wave Bash. We know we have lots to do with getting the deck on and pulling up the carpets to expose the killer oak floreing from 1953.
Sam's House is set up with what every traveler needs, a 1000 LB vintage safe from the late 40's. Agatha's first husband was a coin collector and had it installed to make my life difficult. We have no idea how we are going to get it out. Ok we have an idea it's just not good(cut a hole in the floor.
So we did build a great deck with privacy screens so you can chill out when you check out the great view. Painted the rooms and added the picture molding so now its all new. Oh discovered the oak floor in the living room and redid it. Cant forget the kitchen remodel with the new tile, thank Trevor and Scott! Almost forgot added the door to the deck and put in noew light fixtures. Pretty cool if I do say so myself.
The deal is about the view at the Sam's, it will get better once Mat Bailey get's here with his tree service and the shore pines get a hair cut. Here is what it looks like now. Check back for more info.
